WES Evaluation - Application

Your university wants your grades converted to the American grading system and has asked you to apply for an evaluation through the WES company. In this guide, we will show you what you need to do and how to fill out the application for evaluation.

First apply for the WES Evaluation online.

Open the WES Website in your browser.

Click on Get started

Choose Apply now and on the following page U.S

Fill out all fields with a red star.

Select WES in How did you hear about WES? University Admission Materials.

For Telephone, select Other and enter your number with the country code, e.g., +49 1234 5678 for Germany.

Choose a Password and a Security Question and click Next.

Under What is your primary purpose of evaluation? click on Education.

On the following page under What credentials have you earned? click on Add credential.

Here you will be asked about your transcripts.

Select the country where you went to school.

Select Secondary Education at Type of Education for a secondary school.

At Which of them apply choose Attend a German Secondary School.

Then enter the name of your school

At Name of Diploma you enter e.g. High School Diploma or Bachelor Certificate

For Is this credential a doctor degree select No.

Enter your name as it appears on the certificate.

Enter the year in which you received your last certificate in Year awarded.

In Year attend, enter from when to when you attended this school or university

Save your data with Save. 

On the next page you can enter who should receive your evaluation, in most cases it will be your future university. Please discuss this point with your advisor. 

Note:

If you want to request an additional evaluation by mail yourself, there is an additional fee.

On the next page you have to select a package for evaluation. Click on Other available evaluation packages at the bottom of the page.

Usually you will need a Course-by-Course ICAP Evaluation, please ask your univeristy what exactly they need!

Your screen should now look like this: (The price on this screenshot is only an example and not relevant)

Select Standard Delivery on the following page.

On the next page you can see an overview of the certificates that have to be sent to WES. Furthermore you can see the address of WES in New York. Your certificates must be sent to the Courier address.

Note:

Depending on the Keystone Sports Service contract you have signed, we will cover the costs for the evaluation as well as the shipping of the certificates to the USA. Please contact us if you are not sure whether this is included in your package.

On the next page, check all information again and confirm the Applicant Acknowledgements below. Afterwards you can make your payment and request the evaluation of your certificates. Before you can do so, you have to confirm your data again.

Important:

Before confirming your data, please check your data, especially your date of birth. It can not be changed later

Now select payment by credit card and enter your payment details.

After payment you will receive an email confirming your payment and your WES Reference Number. You will need this number so that your certificates can be assigned correctly at WES. You will also find the number in your account after payment.
