Convert Grades to American Grading Scale (Transcript Evaluation)

Convert Grades to American Grading Scale (Transcript Evaluation)

The American grading system is different from that of other countries. In order for your college to be able to classify your previous academic achievements from your home country, your transcripts must be converted to the American grading system. This requires an Evaluation of Transcripts, which is offered by various companies in the USA. Each university decides for itself which evaluation companies it accepts as official.

Popular (reputable) providers

  1. SpanTran
  2. InCred (mandatory for all who enroll in an NAIA university).
  3. Josef Silny & Associates
  4. World Education Services (WES) - only for transcripts of completion such as high school diploma or bachelor's degree.

Note:
Some universities evaluate foreign transcripts in-house. For these universities, no external evaluation reports are required.
